What is Lemmy?
Lemmy is like Reddit but decentralized
Lemmy “instances” (or servers) are like mini-Reddits, each one of them contains a small amount of subreddits and users but they're all connected to

What about my account? Do | need one for each mini-Reddit?
No. With just a single account on any Lemmy server you can read or write everything everywhere else.

What about the reddit frontpage, is there one?
Yes. When you login to lemmy you’ll default to a local feed that shows only content from the server you created your account on. Click on the “All” button and you’ll see content from all subreddits on all servers.
The “Subscribed” button is like your personal home page on reddit, that is content only from the subs you joined.

How do | find subreddits to join?
Subreddits on Lemmy are called Communities, click on the “Communities” link and you'll see a list of subs local to the server. top-right part of the screen.
You can either scroll the list or search for you'll see a something specific in the search bar on the the top-right part of the screen.
Click on the “All” button to see Communities all servers.
