@andrewbriscoe To see the impact of the Eagle Creek Fire, especially given how it started, 6 years later is stomach turning watching in video, much less getting to hike through it.

@qlp It’s sad for sure. I try not to let the burned areas bother me too much, there are so many around now. Waterfalls are still beautiful!

@andrewbriscoe I didn't even know there was a trail down there from the top. At the top I <3 all the black diamond ski trail signs 2 meters from the precipice.

@andrewbriscoe This is a haven for landscape photographers!

@Roentare Absolutely! One of the oldest developed trails in the country. There’s a restroom at the trailhead that was the first flush toilet in a U.S. forest. Surprisingly still open. I personally like the waterfall at the end better when the water has less volume.

@andrewbriscoe oh nice, look forward to kicking back with that and listening to all the water 😇

@andrewbriscoe One of the best trails, so much water! I'm hoping for some colder weather soon so the waterfalls there ice over a bit.

@tomsart That would be cool! I was surprised by the amount of water for sure. I was walking through waterfalls within the first half mile.

@andrewbriscoe
Great video, Andrew! Thanks for sharing. Besides the breathtaking beauty of the waterfalls, those steep scary-looking ledges also took my breath away!

@TimKStanton Thank you Tim! It’s not as scary (to me) in person but I was much more careful when wet.

@andrewbriscoe That is just amazing Andrew

@andrewbriscoe are you going to set up a youtube channel?

@downriver Yup, it’s posted to my channel. I believe the current best practice is to just use your name for the channel so you’re not locked in to a specific type of content. Could be wrong.

@andrewbriscoe @downriver Wow that's's an awesome hike! You look like you're getting some really good use out of the new GoPro. They're fun cameras, even though mine are all old now.

@croyle @downriver Thank you! It’s amazing how good the video is from a not too expensive video camera. I wish it had optical zoom but happy overall.

@downriver Awesome, I subscribed. The TA seems very cool. Would love to do someday.

@andrewbriscoe That is a really enjoyable video, Andrew. I was leaning sideways in my chair whenever you got close to the edge. Looking forward to the next one, Thanks !

@JamesNielsen Thank you! It was fun to make and I have some more ideas so hopefully I can get back out soon.

@andrewbriscoe Looks like a fantastic hike. I’ll leave it for youngins like you though - a bit tricky for my old body and knees and hips and ankles. ;)

@andrewbriscoe
Oh cool! Thanks for sharing. That was a nice start into the day

@andrewbriscoe nice work Andrew. What an amazing trail! Watching that I kept thinking how even more dangerous it would be under snow and ice. Do the authorities close the trail under those circumstances?

@elperronegro Thank you! It’s not far above sea level but it can freeze. I’m not sure if they are proactive enough to close it for ice but that would be very scary. I haven’t heard of anyone getting injured on this trail but unfortunately, it’s not terribly uncommon for people to fall off trails in this area even when it is warm and dry.

@andrewbriscoe Great video! Thanks for posting!

@andrewbriscoe Woah I read the comments before watching and totally agree, it looks intense! Especially in the rain. Nice video Andrew! Interesting perspective you shared in the edit, helpful for anyone interested in hiking the route!

@mountainmindset Thank you for watching! I see lots of areas for improvement but I enjoyed the process so I plan to film another video once the weather conditions improve a bit. I appreciate the feedback!
