@laurahelmuth The so-called #biblical definition of #marriage includes polygamy, incest, forcing rape victims to marry their rapist, chattel or slave marriages, and occasionally monogamy amongst consenting adults. 
When some nutter tells you they want to see the "biblical definition of marriage" forced on people, ask them which one.

@laurahelmuth I can't help thinking of the Hitler regime's attitude to science - it wasn't independent: it served the party. I realise there are important differences, but also some similar attitudes.
@laurahelmuth @sps Trump is a Ferengi and will do anything for money from lobbyists. With Melon Husk now donating to Trump, expect some revision to the anti-electric car policies that were purchased by legacy car manufacturers and oil companies. So there will be a biding war between them on who can pay trump the most money to get their way. Trump wins either way because his sole goal is to monetize his stay at 1600 Pennsylvania.

Apparently mass genocide is totally fine, as is the enslavement of entire races & nuclear war, but when it comes to the creep of #FossilFuel pollution slowly changing the environment, his god is like, "WHOA! HOLD ON THERE! NOT ON MY WATCH!
But instead of doing something about the source of the problem he just magically makes all the consequences go away?
