@MonaApp I’m now getting this error in my timeline and still can’t get mentions. The app is basically unusable for me at this point.
@Ronnie Sorry about that. I checked that the error could occur if accessing your server’s Mastodon API ended up returns a webpage (HTML) instead of formatted data. Haven’t figure out why the server would behave like that.

I’m not a tech person so I don’t know but it sounds interesting.

@superjosh @Ronnie I don't think there is anything I can do on my end. Only @MonaApp can fix whatever is causing that because all other third party software is working fine AKAIK. So, it must be an issue with the app.
@mastohost @superjosh @Ronnie Thanks for the reply. I guess other clients have there workarounds. Do you know in what kind of situation calling a Mastodon API will get HTML instead of JSON? I never get HTML when communicating with mastodon.social
@MonaApp What is the API request you are making and what is the message returned in HTML?

@superjosh In that case yes but it could be another situation. Just sent that link because it's a case where an API request can return HTML. Probably there are others.
