So I need to convert a DisplayPort signal to HDMI, at 4K/60Hz. Can I just buy any ol' cable/adapter or are there any special considerations? I see there's more expensive "active" ones as well. Is that the usual audiophile-esque brainrot, or a real thing?

@thomholwerda afaik you can only use a passive cable if your source port is DP++, in which case it can transmit hdmi/dvi over the dp port. otherwise active conversion is required

@mntmn You were right! Turns out the source DP port I'm using is DP++, as it uses the correct logo for it. This means I should be able to just use any simple adapter - so I ordered one.

Thanks!
