Last day before going back to work after a few days off. Necessary errands and chores dealt with, now reward time: finish this excellent book & sip some IPA.
(Then start the next book, of course)

"Records make your life better"
Fabulous to see Dundee's Assai and #Edinburgh 's own Thorne Records (where I buy most of my vinyl, handily placed just across the road from our bookshop) on the BBC site for their well-deserved inclusion on a world-wide list of best record stores https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/c2er11m9414o
Bought hot churros in Nutella from a van on the promenade at Cramond. Sugary yummies. There go the calories I walked off (and more!).
Out with chum for a stroll, first time in months we've walked around Cramond, didn't know this boardwalk had been added to part of the beach
(why? Is the ground around it being damaged? Why just this one little span? Why steps instead of a more accessible ramp for anyone with mobility problems?)
Am actually off for a few days, but going into work to help run an interesting book launch with chums this evening, but first a treat in Project Coffee

That satisfying moment when you leave your train, take the Waverley Steps, and find the bus home has just pulled up ...
Spring sunlight streaming through the vast, glass and steel canopy above Waverley Railway Station.
Day off, and beautiful light, so taking my camera on a short train trip across the border to Berwick Upon Tweed. This will mean risking the train being held up by Border Bandidos, who roam the area after Brexit
Tunnel connecting the impressively grand booking hall to the east-bound platforms in Waverley Station.
You can see part of an architectural detail from the original design, now partly covered by this later alteration.
The Meadows,as the spring sun declines slowly, as if the western sky was a chaise longue to repose upon at the end of a day's work.

Wallace and Gromit, Grand Day Out themed Easter egg in O Chocolate's window, #Stockbridge! How fantabulous!
Oh, this made me smile!
Union Canal at Lochrin Basin, as the daylight fades slowly into dusk.
Lunch at the Greek Artisan Pastries shop, awaiting chum for leisurely stroll to the galleries. But first, food and Greek coffee
