"The correlation between the #Reformvote and the #LiberalDemocrat vote share was negative (-0.25) and the same was true for the #Greens (-0.27). When the Liberal Democrats and Greens did well, the Reform vote was reduced which means that both parties were rivals to Reform.

'First #CovidInquiry report to set out ‘appalling failures’ during #pandemic

Catalogue of errors by government and #health officials includes the deliberate winding down of #PPE stockpiles.'

The inquiry has been told of a catalogue of failings in preparing for a pandemic during years of #austerity under the #Tories and the Tory-#LiberalDemocrat coalition.

A question for British Mastodon (or those who know more than me).

Assuming there are only 2 choices - Labour and Conservatives

Would UK Reform voters mostly vote Conservative in this hypothetical

Would Green mostly vote Labour

And how the hell would a Liberal Democrat vote if their party were absent

I presume a not insignificant number of folks would stay home, but most would pick one of the 2, no?

Labour on course for biggest majority of any party since 1832 - final YouGov projection

89 Tory seats are on a knife-edge, a 5% change can flip them & put the Lib Dems in opposition.

Vote like your life expectancy and the height of your children aged 5 depends on it, because it does. Use stopthetories.vote if you want to stop the Tories, stop the bleeding & get the UK into intensive care.

Don't forget your ID.

The big story in the #wellingborough and #kingswood #bielection results isn't the #Labour victory, or the #tory loses, or even the #reformpartyuk . It's that the #liberaldemocrat party was nowhere. I have written to the party and to #eddaveymp suggesting that they will be humiliated in the #GeneralElection unless they propose a new poll on the #EU . We need one party that will allow us to express our opinion on how #brexit is "progressing". I suggest you do the same.

Hello, everyone!

I've been signed up on Mastodon for a few weeks now, but this is my #firstpost!

I live in #Sheffield, in Yorkshire, UK and I work as a web developer. I'm also a politician - a local #liberaldemocrat #councillor on Sheffield #citycouncil for Beauchief & Greenhill ward.

I'm passionate about active travel and cycling and sit on the council's transport committee.

I also run a YouTube channel about restoring vintage bicycles - "Rich's Rides & Restorations"
