is the Granite guy & his amphibian companion, Howard Miller.
i made them a few months ago from 🗿🐸

First, we have the Granite guy. His handsome self is looking dapper af as he sits on that weird tree stump.

Next, the Granite guy appears to be enjoying a novel; first on his own, then with his friend - the aforementioned Mr. Howard Miller.

Finally, in our fourth shot, we have Mr. Miller attempting to fish with a stick as the Granite guy looks on.

Wasn't happy with this little head sculpture, had it lying around for months, waiting for inspiration or some happy accident. That worked!

I'm learning* a lot about nail art these days with the intend on implementing these techniques into sculpting and mixed media art (aside from making nails for myself). So I came across the process of painting on things with alcohol markers. Tried that here and it turned out so good. I was actually planning on dissolving the color with isopropanol but then the texture looked good as it was.

Added a layer of clear gel polish and tada.

Now she could be worn as a brooch but I think nobody will want this, so I'll put her in a little frame like my other Aliens.

If you are a techie and use your Smartwatch or phone for everything, this little project is probably not for you. If you are a bit oldfashioned like me, then it might be a cool idea. :D (I'm so oldfashioned, that I don't get the smilies to work. Just sayin'.)
Some years ago I had to go to a company event and I didn't feel like taking a big purse with me. I came across the pattern for this bracelet/pocket.
I made the beads from Fimo (polymer clay) to match my outfit and it was really perfect. (of course, you could use any beads that you like with a big enough hole). It fit my card and some cash for the taxi ride home. I could pay for my drinks by simply swiping my wrist over the card reader. Events and many people make me nervous, so the beads were perfect for me as a fiddle toy.

I love the way these clamps look. They add so much color to the process of creating beautiful things, whether you use polymer clay or wood or maybe you use hold down clamps for another pursuit entirely. I’m still building up my inventory and I have at least one more color coming. Can you guess what it is? Do you have a favorite? Leave a comment if you have a guess about which color is coming next or tell me your favorite. #polymerclay #3dprinting #woodworking

Any polymer clay artists out there? I'm making these colorful clamps as fast as I can and taking per-orders for my pasta machine bases. The base transforms even a humble pasta machine into a polymer clay workhorse. Once you clamp in, it's not going anywhere and there's an integrated ruler, and thickness scale engraved on the stand. #polymerclay store.heartwoodandsteel.com/pr
