The delighful couple have been organic famers for aroud 4 years or so, since before it was cool they were bringing together producers and consumers in a nice little grassroots organization. Back in the day people would say they eat organic vegetables because they are safer, now they say they eat organic because it's tasty. The carrots with their leaves smelled great during the rest of the drive back to Mimata Town. I think the taste difference between organic and chemical agriculture may be most apparent with carrots. That's the impression I get from hearing HinoharaSanTachi, and carrots are mentioned in Rachel Carson's _Silent Spring_ too. The baby food makers were having trouble finding carrots that had low enough concentrations of pesticided in them...
