Two panels from my comic "Contra Chrome - how Google's browser became a threat to privacy and democracy." In the first, you see a large fish among many smaller ones. It look part like a piranha, part like the logo of the Chome browser - and it looks like it has eaten a lot! In a speech bubble, there a "BURP!" sound, and the caption above reads: "This is much more about Google blocking its data-harvesting competitors in order to amass even more market power in its own hands. In the second panel, the narrator of the comic goes on to say: "By the way, most other browsers have been blocking third-party cookies for a long time without replacing this surveillance technology with another one. "And yet, it will become a global standard the moment it is rolled out with Chrome".

@jdrch @leah you’re missing the point. This isn’t a feature or an anti-feature, so much as it is Google protecting its data gathering monopoly.

YOU are the product Google sells, and they are deepening their moat and drowning competitors.

I'm no fan of either org, I'm saying (something very similar to) this happened previously, without much uproar. The DoJ is currently investigating Apple though
