Drafting a talk to give at the University of Limerick in a few weeks. (before presenting at #OER19 ) Just sent the email to book the flight and hotel. I've never been to Ireland and am so excited!
Travel (stepping outside the box) and talking to/connecting with people are some of my favourite things.

@Downes@mastodon.social@lauraritchie I've never been to Ireland either but apparantly most of my ancestors are from there.
@Downes I get to go to Limerick and Galway - both briefly, but I have been sensible and and made it so I don't arrive at midnight and leave pre-dawn. I'll take some photos and hopefully walk a bit - and really hoping to find local music ! I can't bring a cello though (sadly) as that costs as much as another airline ticket.
@lauraritchie If only there were a small version of a cello you could carry with you instead...
@Downes someone invented a 'travel cello' but it costs about £3000 and for that price... well ....
