Here’s the question that should let you know I’m on mastodon forever:
Is there a #data and/or #analytics tool for mastodon demographics? Tootreach? Outside of how many active users we have? Or does that just essentially just kinda like…. ruin the organic joy of #mastodon.
I’m sorry if that falls into a newbie/irritating little cousin type of question, but inquiring minds… can’t use google effectively anymore
@ErickaSimone Post impressions are not tracked in Mastodon so any tools out there will only be able to provide very vague/inferred data. Likewise for demographics. You could at most tell how many of your followers have posted within a certain timeframe to get an "active followers" approximiation, but that would of course undercount those who just read.
@Gargron I figured if we’re not tracking anything then the best we have is the numbers of boosts and favorites. Which might be enough, depending on reach. Thanks for this. I had marketing nerd questions.
