@rabble @dansup Ok but... how is PixelFed competing with ActivityPub? Is there the possibility to see the full presentation somewhere? Is it worth seeing at all?

From a different comment I take you mean the "extension" that PixelFed did for their own use case makes it a different protocol?

@TheGymNerd @dansup pixelfed is a set of custom protocol extensions built as a layer on top of ActivityPub. Just as Mastodon is actually a protocol on top of ActivityPub. There’s a ton in making the mastodon network work which doesn’t exist in AP.
