I asked for a random walk through a word embedding space starting with a random word and I got a transcript from a tailgate party? https://mastodon.social/media/gHZWX_0z5nkM733G6gA
a little poem in which the first word of each line is from a semantic space random walk, and the second is from a phonetic space random walk https://mastodon.social/media/I3CIfWcXXtWqioqmwvw
wait this technique is even better if you start the random walks from the same word https://mastodon.social/media/h2TmXNdk8axM5ShI7O8
@ninjawedding finds the closest words in semantic space to the given word (using the word embeddings that come with spacy)
@aparrish can't pick a single favorite
Unimpressive Recklessness
Trope Belching
Mythic Meddling
@aparrish
I love this. Calls to mind "Little Big Mouth" (might just be the rhythm?)
The two walks don't relate after initiation, do they? It works though.
@aparrish I love the
Waveform failings
Amplitude fillings
Modulation feelings
@aparrish Congratulations, you've solved poetry.
@aparrish Oh, wow. These are genuinely amazing. I can't help but finding these spurious semantic connections (both between iterations and between pairs in an iteration) even though I know it's a just random walk - it really triggers the brain's "complete this pattern" drives!
Also, @zatnosk and @datatitian's excerpts read like some wonderful new form of poetry I can only describe as Cyberpunk Haiku..
