The paper “Contours of Knowledge: Epistemological Implications of Semantic Models in the Representation of the Art Exhibition Domain through the Lens of the OntoExhibit Ontology” by Nuria Rodríguez-Ortega highlights the development of the OntoExhibit ontology, which aims to redefine how art exhibitions are digitally represented. I’m thinking of not doing exhibits anymore unless there’s a stipend (some have provided!). It costs me so much $ to exhibit my work…entry fees, shipping/transporting, preparing the work etc…they even take a cut if something sells! Their marketing is less than I do for myself & they say “exposure” but they don’t even share my website on theirs. What do you think? I think we need a new structure, but if so what? #art #artexhibitions #galleries #artistproblems #workforexposure #mastoart
