So yesterday I met a new friend who is interested in esoteric programming languages as much as I am. He showed me his new creation, called Ndim (esolangs.org/wiki/Ndim), which is a multidimensional language inspired by Befunge. I think it’s super impressive for a 14-year-old’s first esolang!

Today I wrote a little program in his esolang and gave it to him as a challenge to find out what it does. (rubs hands)

I had a small break from mastodon, so I guess I'll make a new #introduction post.

I'm Lily: a #transGirl living in the hell that is #Poland.

I code (duh) in #python, #CPP, trying out #nim. I also make own programming languages from time to time (often #esolangs)

I'm enthusiastic about #GNU/ #Linux (again duh) and creating conlangs!

I'm neurodivergent: living with #ASD, #ADHD and #dyslexia, while fighting off #depression.

I also sometimes write #poems and shitpost.

This article mentions the concept of #ethnoprogramming in the context of non-English-based #esolangs. I'm surprised that I hadn't heard this word before (I've been fascinated by #ethnomathematics and #ethnocomputing for many many years).

A few years ago I tried to find mainstreamish programming languages that would allow Turing-complete programming without the use of any English words (or by extension, words from any specific natural language). Julia was the only one I could find. Haskell, Clean, Prolog and/or Elixir might be able to pass the test as well.
