I am continuing to think about this mastodon.social/@mcc/113092395 and I am finding myself overthinking this. Xenia stays in her room all day long, lit only by the banks of monitors, doing goodness knows what but she somehow makes rent. Tux is very tidy and organized and has a job at a big important company he goes out to every day which he takes very seriously. This is so that the artist gets an excuse to draw Tux wearing a little business suit

If rather than being alternative mascots Tux and Xenia both exist then they effectively become the animus and anima of Linux, and if they co-exist in one space then any narrative tension encountered between the two can mirror the reality of Linux's duelling selves

@mcc tux and xenia's respective status as official and unofficial mascots of linux represents the relationship between the deity and demiurge. in this essay i will

@mcc @emaytch The holy trinity of Linux mascots: the father (Tux), the "son" (Xenia), and the holy spirit (two jokes simultaneously popped up into my mind. either this is just Linus Torvalds himself or the end user. idk where I'm going with this)
