ERL Keynote: Small Changes, Big Impact
It is a strange, awful, and hard time to talk about well-being at work, yet the practices that create a healthy workplace for everyone matter now more than ever.
We spend a significant amount of our lives at work, and taking action to improve that space for us and others matters. Even if it’s only bringing in a plant, but even better if it’s setting boundaries and being an example of what maintaining good practices looks like. For managers, it might look like reviewing the policies you can control and thinking more actively about culture.
I wish I could have stayed longer. Using vacation time to give presentations and training is always a balancing act.
Congrats to Bonnie and the ER&L team on 20 years!
I’m wrapping up my class on burnout, getting ready for an ACRL panel on toxic-informed leadership (if you’ll be in Minneapolis say hi or send me note if you want to connect), and prepping for this presentation for the Iowa Small Library Association on burnout in the next couple of weeks.
I’m available for training, consulting, or coaching.
